This year at Beloit Jr./Sr. High School, female wrestlers made it to state for the first time in school history. When regional wrestling wrapped up on Feb. 15, Beloit High had three state qualifiers. Estefani Contreas got 5th place in the 100-lb weight class, Daytona McMillian took 6th place in the 105-pound weight class, and Zayda Purvis earned 6th place in the 120-lb weight class. Earlier in the season, the Beloit High girls were also league champions. The three who advanced to state will wrestle in the class 3-1A State Tournament in Hays this Friday.
