Four members of the Beloit High Future Med Club- Allie Bourbon, Lundyn Knight, Allison Leiva, and Olivia Wright- recently traveled to Salina to participate in the KU School of Medicine Doc for a Day event.
Junior Allie Bourbon says, “My favorite part of the event was the hands-on demonstration experience with the sutures, intubation, etc. It was very fun!”
Senior Olivia Wright says, “My favorite part of the event was getting to practice and learn real doctor skills, such as intubation and suturing. I also really enjoyed getting to talk one on one with the med students.”
Junior Lundyn Knight says her favorite part was, “Getting to practice doing stitches on fake skin.”
