Every student in Beloit High knew the fun wasn’t over at the end of the school day. On Aug. 15, not even two full days into the school year, Student Council hosted the annual Back to School Bash, which included the volleyball tournament, a snow cone truck, and loads of fun.
The event started at 8:30 after all six volleyball teams, BBE, 67 Elite, The Squad, BDB, the Benchwarmers, and last but not least, Tennis Girls had all warmed up.
The ending of the tournament is widely controversial amongst students because, on paper, BDB beat 67 Elite, resulting in their victory. Afterwards, 67 Elite approached BDB and asked for a rematch, which 67 Elite won. After the tournament, students hung out in the gym, shooting hoops, playing small volleyball games, tossing a football, or simply relaxing. After about 15 minutes, everyone left simultaneously, and the event stopped about an hour before the scheduled time. We thank StuCo for hosting this event.
