Kayley McGuire, the newly elected president of Beloit High’s Future Farmers of America, brings a lifelong passion for agriculture to her leadership role. Growing up on a farm, McGuire was inspired by her father, a former FFA president, and has long dreamed of following in his footsteps. “Becoming president allows me not only to honor that inspiration, but also to leave a lasting impact on Beloit FFA,” she said.
McGuire’s vision for the year centers on expanding the chapter by encouraging more student involvement and helping members find their place in agriculture. She hopes to foster an inclusive environment where every student, regardless of background or experience, feels welcome. “I want our chapter to be a place where members are excited to learn, serve, and make memories together,” she shared.
She is especially looking forward to the opportunities this year brings for the chapter to grow closer as a team and give back to the community. From competitions to service projects, McGuire is eager to see members challenge themselves and celebrate their accomplishments.
When it comes to leadership, McGuire believes that dedication is key. “A leader has to be fully committed to the group they’re serving—dedicated to putting in the time, the effort, and the energy it takes to help others succeed,” she explained.
For McGuire, FFA is more than just agriculture—it’s about leadership, growth, and service. “FFA gives students a place to find their passions, work as a team, and prepare for their future, whether that’s in agriculture or any other career path,” she said.
