For the umpteenth time, Beloit High School has planned the every-other-year D.C. trip. Students plan to visit nearly 30 landmarks and points of interest, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and a photo opportunity at the White House.
Casey Seyfert says, “I like to just take kids to every single place they might want to go.”
The trip is to last four days, with dates hopefully between March 8-15. Expenses of the trip go straight to EF Educational Tours, the travel partner. This trip has been biennial, excluding the COVID-19 pandemic, ever since 2010, when Seyfert first took residence in this district. About 20 to 25 students sign up for every trip. Seyfert started taking students to D.C. because he had never gone, and when he first visited it, he was entranced.
