The 8th grade class took a recent trip to the Beloit Solar LLC solar farms and learned about why they are essential to the future and how the energy gets transferred into everyday households.
Students also learned about how the solar panels benefit the city and the efforts to expand the farm. The staff informed students about the challenges and obstacles they’ve overcome while working at the farm. Mrs. Christie Fouts, technology teacher, said “It is important to teach students about all the types of energy and how they impact our world currently, and also what our future may be like.”
