On Oct. 20, Beloit’s volleyball team advanced to sub-state by defeating Colby in two sets, Larned in two sets, and losing to Hoisington in three sets at regionals. The top two teams advanced to sub-state.
In the final Class 3A Kansas Volleyball Association rankings of the season that were released last week, Hoisington is ranked number four, Beloit is sixth, and Holcomb is in the seven spot.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the volleyball team will venture four hours to Holcomb to play in sub-state. The first match is Minneapolis against Holcomb at 2 pm. The second match is Beloit versus Ellsworth after the first match has finished. The winners of the first two matches will then face-off for the championship match. The winner of that final match advances to Class 3A State, which will be held in Hutchinson on Oct. 30.
