Mr. Trace Leners came to Beloit Jr./Sr. High to teach physical education and coach football and basketball. Teachers in junior high and high school impacted his teenage years and were role models for him in many ways, and he wanted to do the same for other students. Before coming to our school, he graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University located in Lincoln, Neb. and taught P.E. at his previous school for two years.
In the course of time, he sees himself working his way up to a head football coach. He added that it was a no-brainer decision to come to work here at Beloit High because of the community support, how good and motivated our administration is, and how fun the environment in Beloit is.
Leners always has a question of the day in his classroom and he enjoys hearing the students’ responses. In addition, he loves interacting with the students and seeing the kids be excited for P.E. He likes seeing kids in the hallway and being a part of the school community.
One piece of advice he has is to: put yourself out there, whether that’s going out for something you’re nervous about or not sure about because you’ll never regret stepping out of your comfort zone.
We are thrilled to have you, Mr. Leners!
