Savannah’s parents are Kerry and Sarah Norman. Savannah works with OPAA in the school cafeteria during the afternoons and also holds a job at Trapper Joe’s in Simpson. The number one thing that Savannah is proud of is getting her job.
The person who inspires her is her mother. Savannah states, “As a kid, I didn’t like my mom. I blamed her for many things that happened to me as a kid. But I got older and got a lot closer to her. Now all I want to be is like my mom; smart, pretty, have a family, not let anyone tell me what to do.”
A goal she is currently working toward is graduating. After that, she plans to go to the military or settle down in Kansas. Savannah’s advice for younger students: “Do what makes you happy. Do not let anyone tell you what is right or wrong if it feels right to you to do it. They don’t have to understand why you did it.”
