In early January, a few students, Scarlett Ludwig, Isabella Ludwig, Landrey Isbell and Halle Burke, left for a 5-day SEEK Youth Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Each morning, everyone at the conference would attend a daily mass, followed by different optional speakers, presentations, and assemblies throughout the day for people to choose from. At the end of the day, the group would come together to hear two different speakers each night, followed by another kind of event, such as a dance or music performance, followed by three hours of adoration.
Sophomore Scarlett Ludwig says, “My favorite part about the trip was going to the church services. It was really pretty and amazing to hear all the people sing and all be there together. I also loved the speakers they had there. They were very good… I would love to go again. I think it made me a better person and made me think more about how I live my life.”
Eighth grader Halle Burke says, “I liked all of the talks and the entertainment options they had, but I disliked that all of the people there made it feel overwhelming. My favorite part was the Forest Frank concert.”
Eighth grader Landrey Isbell says, “I liked all of the talks and getting to see new people I had never seen before. My favorite part was the line dancing and swing dancing.”
Eighth grader Isabella Ludwig says, “I liked the talk that Jackie gave about relationships, but I didn’t like that there were so many people there- I literally got lost. I also liked the swing dancing and Forest Frank concert. I also liked the plank competition- one guy held it for 14 minutes.”
