Two of the school district’s KidWind teams are headed to Nationals! The top three teams in each division advance to nationals. In the 4th-8th grade division, the 7th-grade team consisting of Brylee LePon, Rilee Lundine and Tripp Stillwell brought home 3rd place, qualifying them for Nationals and the 8th-grade team consisting of Hudson Remus, Henry Tice, Joel Fuller, Evan Giersch and Kanean Olson brought home 4th place. The high school team consisting of Charlie Burke, Jackson Cheney, Luke Cheney, Jayce Offutt and Jayc Darnall placed 1st and is also heading to Nationals. The categories for scoring were 40% wind tunnel performance, 40% judges interview, 10% wind knowledge quiz, and 10% instant challenge. The students will further improve their designs and get ready for the KidWind National competition that will be held in Boulder, Colo. in May.
