Trojans celebrate first day of school, national recognition

Students began school on Aug. 17 this year. The first day of school consisted of many fun activities. To start off the day, a rock, paper, scissors contest was held. Junior Gatley Wichyoah brought home the win against fellow classmate, Christina Keller.

PRIDE Times got to compete in many activities throughout the morning. After the competitions, the high school and elementary school headed over to the football stadium to celebrate the National School of Character awards that both schools received. Students piled into the bleachers for pictures and also gathered on the football field to spell out “Trojans” for a video. Eberle Studios was able to capture these moments via drone footage. Guaranty State Bank provided every student and staff member with matching t-shirts as well. After pictures and videos were complete, the high school Booster Club and elementary school PTO grilled burgers for all students.
