January is School Board Recognition Month and the USD 273 Board of Education members were briefly recognized at a recent home basketball game. With the bond, searching for a new superintendent, and regular business that needs taken care of, the board members have been extremely busy. We thought people would enjoy learning more about these board members who volunteer so much of their time to USD 273.

Jonathan Stillwell has been on the USD 273 Board of Education since 2020. Currently, Stillwell is a regular member of the board and does not hold an office. He chose to run for the school board so he could help maintain the strong traditions of USD 273.

Stillwell graduated from Beloit Jr./Sr High in 1999 and Kansas State University in 2005. Stillwell is married to his wife, Jenny, and they have two children: Tripp Stillwell, a sophomore, and Mady Stillwell, an eighth grader. They reside in Scottsville, 12 miles northeast of Beloit, where they own an equipment dealership and farm.
