During spring break, students of BJSHS flew out of Kansas to embark on a journey to Washington, D.C. They joined students from Tonganoxie and formed a group of 42.
Some of the places they visited were the Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Smithsonian museums, the Holocaust Museum and Mount Vernon. They also visited memorials for the Air Force, WWII, 9/11 and Vietnam.

Madison Larsen describes one of her experiences there, “I really liked the first night when we got to see the Washington Monument all lit up against the water.”
