In early March, teacher Mr. Marty Hesting took a group of students to Manhattan, Kan. for the 8th annual Job Olympics. About 120 students from 14 different schools attended the competition, which was hosted at Chester Peters Recreation Complex on Kansas State University’s campus.
Two Beloit students, Travis Peters and Chase Helzer, attended the event. Helzer participated in custodial stocking and vacuuming. Peters participated in facing shelves, folding silverware, and the job application competition, where he received a medal. BHS has attended the event for eight years.
