In late February, BJSHS JAG-K students competed at the Regional Career Development Conference (CDC), bringing home a state qualification. Three students, Collin Falloon, Zane Wagner and Kimberlyn Kadel, advanced to state by placing second in creative decision making.
Though she didn’t advance to state, Katelyn Pearson placed sixth in prepared speaking.
JAG-K teacher Jacee Tice states, “The BHS JAG-K students competed in probably the hardest region in the state. I was very proud of their effort and how they conducted themselves during this day. We came home with two events that placed, and one qualified for state.”
Wagner, one of the students who qualified for state, says, “I think CDC is one of the best parts of JAG. Being able to compete at a state level for some really important core skills is my favorite part of the program.”
