The girls’ basketball team recently organized a dodgeball tournament fundraiser and held it on Saturday, Jan. 10. The registration fee was $5 per team member and audience admission was $3 per person.
There were brackets consisting of elementary kids, junior high kids, and some adults. The tournament followed regular rules and a double-elimination format, with teams of up to 6-8 players.
“The tournament was a fun time. We appreciate all the businesses and people who helped and donated to the fundraiser,” Samantha Thompson, one of the tournament organizers, stated.
The high school team featuring John Abercrombie, Jackson Watts, Liam Abercrombie, Cain Cheney, Brevin Schroeder, Brodie Schroeder, and Waylon Darnall emerged as the champions of their division. The elementary school team consisting of 5th-grade boys took home the victory in their category.
