On Tuesday, March 4, the Beloit boys’ basketball team defeated Phillipsburg at home, with a score of 63-31. As a result of the team’s victory over Phillipsburg, they will be competing against Scott City High School at Larned Middle School for the title of the sub-state championship on Friday, March 6, at 6 pm.
On Wednesday, March 5, the Lady Trojan basketball team defeated Larned High School at home, with a score of 61-48. They will now compete against Ellsworth High School at Larned Middle School for the substate championship on Saturday, March 7, at 6:30 pm.
Sub-state champions will advance to the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 3A State competition held next week in various locations across the state.
