On Feb. 16, both the junior high girls’ and boys’ wrestling teams competed at home for their annual league tournament. Ellsworth won the boys’ tournament with 215.5 points, while Beloit finished 3rd with 113.0 points. As for the girls’ side, Minneapolis won the tournament with 88.5 points, and Beloit came in 2nd with 82.0 points.
All the teams put on an excellent show of good sportsmanship and top-tier wrestling. Several members from both teams placed on the podium.
Natessa Mudd, Hudson Finney, and Aspen Forrest all got 1st place in their weight classes.
Ivanka Krone, Joceyln O`Connor, Wakefield Fincham, Boyd Tice, Easton Behymer, Lennyx Stewert, and Ebony Konkel all placed 2nd in their weight classes.
Bentley Sweat, Zoey Elam, and Saige Small all placed 3rd in their weight classes.
Tegan Ferreira, Miles Weston, and Bentley Gentry placed 4th in their weight classes.
