In mid-February, FFA had a District Selection Day, which is an important occasion when new District FFA officers are elected and outstanding member achievements are recognized through award judging.
Kayley McGuire was a candidate for a District Officer position. The process for her candidacy involved filling out an application, delivering a speech to showcase her qualifications and vision, and participating in an interview to help determine her suitability for the role.
A few members applied for Proficiency Awards, which highlighted their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs). Lane Jones applied for the Beef Production Entrepreneurship division. Kade Pearson applied for the Vegetable Production division and won.
Jones and Pearson got proficiency rewards.
Aiden Jones and Colton Jeardoe applied for the Diversified Agricultural Production division. They competed against others in their respective divisions.
