On Feb. 25, Regional KidWind was held in Manhattan. Among the teams that participated, Charlotte Norton, Madysen Stillwell, Alison Goddard and Oakleigh Adams placed second, advancing to State.
Brevin Schroeder, Boyd Tice, Keller King, Waylon Darnall and Greyson Goodaker placed third, qualifying as the alternate team for State KidWind.
The team of Reid Sibley, Miguel Vazquez-Lopez, Ophir Mejia, Breckin Wessling and Zeppelynn Mast was the only team at the event to answer all questions on the energy knowledge quiz correctly, and the team also received the most improved team award.
State KidWind will be held in Salina, where six teams from across the state will compete on April 11. The top two teams at State will advance to World KidWind in Madison, Wis.
